I have a tin ear and am not musical at all! How could I possibly conduct an orchestra?
Orchestrating Leadership was created an designed to accommodate people with varying degrees of familiarity with classical music. Part of the hands-on learning methodology used in Orchestrating Leadership includes teaching some basic conducting gestures, musical terms and insights into a real working orchestra rehearsal. The purpose of teaching executives and employees about how an orchestra operates and how to conduct is not is not to turn each person into an actual orchestra conductor. Our aim is to use the conductor's podium as a unique, highly engaging, and FUN way for people to learn about themselves, tap into their creativity by learning a new skills that requires using your whole brain, and gain fresh perspective on the issues and needs of their organizations, and find the encouragement and confidence to find innovative ways to address them.
I love this idea!.....but how can I afford to hire a whole orchestra for my event?
Orchestrating Leadership has been designed to help you achieve various business, operational and leadership goals- and accommodate various event budget sizes. Black Pearl has established a network of world-class musicians at orchestras around the country (and the globe!) with whom we work to provide a high-calibre musical experience. We are always willing to work with you to plan an extraordinary experience for your organization.
I love this idea!.....but we can’t fit a whole orchestra in our venue. What would you suggest?
Not to worry! This is a common issue for lots of organizations. Orchestrating Leadership was designed to be flexible and can be offered with ensembles ranging from a 100-piece symphony orchestra in a concert hall to a string quartet in a C-suite conference room.
If you are in or near Philadelphia, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra has working relationships with a number of area venues including the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the Barnes Foundation, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, National Liberty Museum, and others We would be happy to help coordinate an event at one of these or another beautiful setting that will help inspire even greater creativity, innovation, and introspection during the program.
